Help a young Muslim husband to reunite with his wife

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

My name is Leila, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my husband Sufyan, a 19-year-old Muslim from Kazakhstan.

Sufyan left his country seeking a place where he could live with dignity, study, and practice his faith freely. He studied Arabic and Islam in Saudi Arabia, and since then had to travel through Turkey, the UAE, and now Eastern Europe, trying to find a place where he can obtain legal residency and live a stable, halal life.

Because of financial hardship, he could not remain in Saudi Arabia, and he still has no visa to Germany so that we can reunite. That remains our biggest dream....to live together peacefully in one place, in shā’ Allāh.

During his journey, there were times when he had nowhere to sleep and spent nights outside. When he was once offered a job at a hotel in Turkey on the condition that he shave his beard, he politely refused, choosing instead to hold on to his faith and dignity. Despite these trials, he never lost hope in Allah or his desire to work honestly.

He tried to travel to Mauritania to seek Islamic knowledge, but his visa was unfortunately rejected. (As you can see on the Screenshot)

Sufyan now teaches English online, and his goal is to build a small online school to help others learn languages and open new opportunities. Unfortunately, he has only recently started and does not yet have regular students.

I currently live and study in Germany full-time and cannot support him financially. His family doesn't want to help for they want him to leave path of seeking knowledge, so he is walking this path almost completely alone except for me and Allah Almighty All-Seeing.

And this is why we are reaching out here. Wallahi, he felt deeply shy and ashamed at first to ask for help in public. But then we mentioned him the words of Allah that the believers are but brothers and the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: “A Muslim is a brother to another Muslim.”

Those words reminded us that the Ummah is one body, and that sometimes, it is not wrong to ask your brothers and sisters for support when you have no one else to turn to.

Right now, Sufyan struggles to cover the basics, a safe place to sleep, food, and a reliable internet connection so he can continue teaching and applying for residency. He is not asking for charity, only for a small stepping stone that allows him to survive, keep working, and keep moving forward with dignity.

With your help, he can pay for his living expenses while building his student base, applying for residence, and moving closer to reuniting with me, in shā’ Allāh.

If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this story, every share widens the chance that someone who can help will see it.

May Allah reward everyone who helps, through donations, by sharing, or through sincere du‘ā.

Jazakumullāhu khayran wa barakallahu feekum.

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”
And from Allah we seek help, for He is the Best Disposer of affairs..
