My name is Laura, I am wanting to help raise funds for a beautiful Murray Bridge mum at the age of 23, who on Sunday had a stoke and is facing a long recovery - any money raised will go towards, medical costs, fuel and parking, childcare fees and all other costs associated with loosing an income- every dollar will help

here is her story

Last Saturday night I collapsed briefly, by Sunday I was on route to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and this is where I've been since. The news that came next was so unexpected.

Myself as a 23yr old healthy, full-time working, busy mum who loves to dance and be involved with speedway, suffered a stroke to the Cerebellum part of my brain. After tests and scans and even more tests it has been revealed that this happened due to a hole in my heart. A blood clot escaped through this hole and parked it upstairs in the ol noggin.

Turns out only 1-4% of strokes happen in the Cerebellum yet this part of the brain contains your coordination, balance, muscle control, movement and much more like more than half of the cells that make up the nervous system. Lucky for me I'm young, getting stronger each day and will make a pretty good recovery the doctors believe.

Today we will find out more information and make a plan to start our journey moving forward to becoming me again!

I have a great view, awesome nurses, a very informative neurologist and such a loving caring partner, little girl, great family and friends that are making it just that little bit easier.
