One of my nearest and dearest friends Josephine Street has recently been diagnosed with cancer. It’s a rare form of ovarian cancer called an Immature Teratoma. This is a very rare tumour, representing 1% of all teratomas, 1% of all ovarian cancers, and 35% of malignant ovarian cell tumours.

Over the last few months she has been suffering with health issues without a known cause and as a result she has had to have her right ovary removed. Shortly after this extensive surgery she received the phone call no one is ever prepared for. She has cancer and requires months of chemotherapy and likely radiation.

This means Jo will be unable to work, however the bills will continue to come in.

This beautiful human is only 30 years old. She has a 2 year old son who is in her full care and a whole life ahead of her. I am aiming to try and relieve her financial stress in anyway.

For those of you who don’t know Jo she truly is a shinning light. She lights up a room with her presence, a heart of gold and would truly give you the cloths off her back if you needed them.

She is about to embark on the biggest fight of her life and the reality is there isn’t much we can do to help her, all we can do is have her in our thoughts and pray.

I’m hoping we can reduce the financial burden, so that she can focus on fighting this thing and recovering.

Truth is Jo didn’t even want this to go ahead. It took a lot of convincing on my end. We would be enterally grateful if you could donate as generously as you can and share this go fund me as much as you can.

As little or as much as you feel will go along way in helping reduce the financial stress of what is feeling like a never ending journey of medical appointments, scans, tests, procedures and of course treatment.
