Young Mom J'Vonaje Forde loses life to Dorian

Donation protected
When Hurricane Dorian slammed Freeport Grand Bahama, J’Vonaje Forde had no idea that she would be a casualty of the storm. As the waters rose, she was separated from a friend and swept away while trying to help others. http://fox17.com/news/local/great-niece-of-mtsu-president-killed-in-hurricane-dorian

J'Vonaje was an insurance agent at Colina General who was studying to take her insurance exams. She was loved by her clients and her co-workers.   Her passion was massage and physiotherapy as she wanted to pursue a career in that field. She was always active in her church and sang with the Grand Bahama youth choir where she traveled abroad. She leaves behind a 1-year-old - Jai who will be raised by his grandmother. J'Vonaje was a bright light for her family.

J'Vonaje is my cousin. As a mother, it's incomprehensible the loss this family has endured. My heart is heavy as my siblings and I try to provide as much assistance as possible.

All monies raised will go to J’Vonaje’s grief-stricken mom via check to assist with rebuilding, finding housing and taking care of J'Vonaje's son.

Thanks for your contributions. Please also take a moment to share.

Much love.
