Young Minds Matter: In Memory of Christian!
Donation protected
Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth and young adults aged 15-to-24-year-olds. Rashida Biney, a Seattle native, tragically and unexpectedly lost her 24yr old son, Christian Bossett. As you can imagine, this is devastating for any parent to have to endure or even plan for alone.
Christian was an out-of-the-box innovative thinker. He was an aspiring entrepreneur, relished in beautiful glass-blowing artwork, loved creating music, stood firm in his beliefs, and cared for those he truly loved. He had big dreams but, unfortunately, was unable to fulfill those due to this growing issue amongst our youth.
Rashida is our sister, a mother, a Garfield High School class of 1996 Alum, medical personnel, and much more. She gives to our community, and now we ask the community to rally in union to support this grieving mother in a time of deep need. Your contributions will help her cover the hefty costs that we all know are associated with events such as this and with whatever else is needed to help during this difficult time.
In addition to raising funds for immediate needs, our secondary goal is to take action against this rising issue amongst our youth and young adults. Our mission is to combat youth and young adult mental illness and help provide more direct resources to existing programs offering treatment to our youth suffering in our community, in Christians' honor. #YoungMindsMatter
