James Hughes is a sports-mad teenager from Brotton, who has qualified to represent Cleveland at the English School National Championships in Birmingham.
James first started running in Primary School and seemed to have a natural talent along with the passion to do well, he qualified for the finals in Birmingham after finishing third in the 800 meters at Gateshead with a time of 2mins 4sec.
He has also ran many local park runs, with a 5k personal best time of 18.17.
James is also a keen boxer and trains four times a week with the Redcar Amateur Boxing Club where he hopes to qualify for the English Championship this year, and as if that wasn't enough he also plays football for the Saltburn Falcons.
It will cost £500 to pay for James his mum and sister to attend the competition, and Cygnet Law has sponsored him £250 towards the travel and hotel charges.
We are looking to try and raise the other £250 to be able to make this a dream come true for James to compete at a national level representing his county.
If you could help out we would really appreciate it.
