We are hosting a Movie Night Quiz with an SPW twist, promising to be a fun and entertaining event. The cost to join is £5 per person, and feel free to gather into teams as you wish, and the quiz will take place from 5:00 to 5:30 pm.

This event is not only about having a great time but also about supporting a fantastic cause. All the money raised will go to Jy’s chosen charity: Young Lives vs Cancer, an organisation that is incredibly important to Jy and his family.

Why does this charity matter so much? Young Lives vs Cancer provides essential support to families facing the unthinkable. They offer accommodation so that one parent can stay overnight and get some much-needed respite, arrange short breaks when children are well enough, and ensure siblings don't feel left out. They even go the extra mile with thoughtful gestures like custom Converse trainers for Lucia and gifts for Teddy to make him feel included.

Let me share a bit about Jy & Lucia’s story. Lucia is a bright, beautiful little girl who turned three in December. Tragically, that same month, she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Pineoblastoma, a rare and highly aggressive brain tumour. Just before Christmas, Lucia underwent a long and risky operation to remove as much of the tumour as possible. While the surgery went as well as it could, the family has received the heartbreaking news that the cancer has spread.

Throughout this unimaginably difficult time, Lucia’s parents, Jy and Bex, and her big brother Teddy (6), have shown incredible strength. Through this charity night, we aim to support them, raise vital funds, and help create lasting memories for the family.
