Hey there!

You have the great opportunity to empower an invaluable photographic Exhibition at The Africa Centre Feeny Gallery this December 2025.

The UK based African and Afro Caribbean diaspora are still deep in identity crisis. Still subjected to dis attachment from their places of origin, they continue to hold extremely limiting views of potential opportunities of prosperity that comes from Africa.

Young people in the diaspora struggle to see themselves as part of a wider African global community, spanning across continents, as even history refuses to acknowledge their contributions to civilisation. They are disillusioned. They don’t feel connected to their greater story. We know that we can shift shifting that narrative - and we need you to empower us to do so.

We are excited to be working with two incredibly talented photographic storytellers named Malick Njie and Daniel Bell-Gam who are based in Gambia and Nigeria for an exciting exhibition entitled Young Gifted and African.

This exhibition will showcase the professional and skilful talents of various individuals in the home counties of these dynamic visual artists. The portraits will be a snapshot into life on the continent today, in all it's glory and talent, against a backdrop of the vibrant and varied African landscape.

We are Mansa Harts,

A Creative Hub here to represent Talent with Purpose. Created by power couple duo Nat Nye the Lyrical Alkhemist and Stella Bee in 2021, Mansa Harts uses events, creative projects and visual arts to positively impact society.

Zaira Rasool is the founder of NGO Coderoots based in Gambia. A co-curator and producer on this project who is deeply passionate about the reshaping of Africas narrative by empowerment of those who live there.

Together we aim to invite the diaspora here in the UK to identify themselves within the incredible works of Daniel Bell-Gam and Malick Njie.

We have secured the Gallery Space at The Africa Centre from the 1st to the 19th December.

The photographers have been working on their pieces since March 2025 and we are aiming to have them here with their work in December.

We are also bringing in poets from the UK who will be a part of the launch and closing event, their poems will reflect on the work produced by Malick and Daniel creating a beautiful UK branch connected to the African roots of creation.

Please contribute towards this incredible initiative by empowering us financially. The money will go towards labour, equipment, printing, promotion and marketing.

Help us tell a wonderful cross diaspora and continental story and build an artistic bridge from UK to Africa and beyond.
