Please help this young family cover the costs of a devastating and unexpected accident.
On Sunday, July 25, Luis Barragan Andrade was cooking dinner for his extended family in Mexico when the gas tank exploded, causing third-degree burns to his face, throat, arms and ribcage. He was rushed to a local hospital and his wife and child flew from Nampa, Idaho, to be at his side. His first few days were a struggle for survival as he breathed with the aid of a ventilator, and he will need intensive, long-term care to recover. Unfortunately, due to the increased patient load caused by COVID-19, the burn center in Guadalajara does not have room to accept him as a patient.
The Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center’s burn center has agreed to treat him, but his family needs help with the cost of transporting him. Paying the ongoing medical bills also will be a challenge.
Luis has a wife, Gracie, and a young daughter. Any help is greatly appreciated.
