You one dollar can bring a smile

Sindh’s public school system today is a cesspool of ignorance, obscurantism and corruption. It is in the midst of an educational emergency. The plight of education across the country makes all of us sad and we all have always wished to do something about it.

Children of Sindh are facing myriad problems when it comes to acquiring education because of the poor education system in the province. Out of 12 million children, 6.7 million are out of school. Forty seven percent of government primary schools have to get by with only one teacher. Along with this, fifty percent of children enrolled in primary schools in Sindh drop out before finishing their primary schooling.

This is not the end of the story. Twenty seven percent of government primary schools in Sindh function only with one classroom. Throughout the province, seventy one percent government primary school buildings are in a pathetic condition, where children have no access to no power, no water, no lavatories. In addition, sixty six percent of schools in Sindh are without electricity, 53 percent of schools cannot provide students and staff with drinking water facilities, 49 percent of schools do not have toilets and 44 percent are without boundary walls.

We know problems are endless and the more we look at the numbers, it would make it look grimmer and grimmer.

To play our part to deal with education emergency, we at SANA have decided to seek your help and like to request you to donate this year’s Zakat towards SANA’s FAME Fund Scholarship initiated some 20 years back.

We all know that SANA’s FAME FUND has a very limited budget to accommodate so many brilliant children who reach out to us every year to assist them with their school fees. We are able to sponsor paltry 32 students a year for higher education. Can we do more – and yes, we can? But we would need your help.

We all know that Zakat is a vehicle of change. It fuels change.  There is no better way to use these funds for the education of under-privileged children. That means your zakat can bring education to those bright who are unable to further their education for the lack of resources.

Help us give hope to those bright kids who cannot afford their education by donating today. Consider SANA’s Fame Fund this time by donating even a portion of your Zakat this year, if not all, and we will show you what we can do for our society back home.

Illiteracy won’t stop. Neither will we, to work towards its eradication.

You can change some lives. You can bring happiness to the faces of struggling children and can enable them to further their education.

Follow this link https://sanaonline.org/donate/ to donate your Zakat, or at least some of its portion this year. Please make sure to mention Zakat for FAME when donating!

We will appreciate your help.
