I'm Sherita, the mother of Darrell.

As it is difficult for me to write this, On August 31, 2025 Me and My Husband Took Darrell to the Emergency Room because he wasn’t feeling well me thinking he had some type of stomach bug but that wasn’t the case. Darrell (3D), my 11-year-old son, has been diagnosed with leukemia on September 1, 2025. It was the worst news I could hear about my child. My heart is hurt. "My baby," is all I could say with tears rolling down my face. All I know is I had to go to God with this because I was weak, not knowing what to do next. Darrell just started the 6th grade and has missed school since September 1st. Darrell has played football for many years, and he loves it. Darrell is a very respectful child, and he is strong and believes in God. Darrell was in ICU for a week to be watched closely; he has since been transferred out of ICU but still remains in the hospital with me, his mother, and family by his side. Darrell is on a feeding tube to help with his nutrition. We as a family ask for prayers; they are always welcomed and appreciated to the highest.
