You Can Stand With Ukraine

Hi, my name is Olga Cantrell, and I would like to share why I have created this GoFund Me page. I'm a proud Ukrainian born in the beautiful city of Kyiv. I moved to the United States when I was 18 years old. My mother, father and brother are presently located in downtown Kyiv - in the same apartment I grew up in. They have been directly impacted by the Russian invasion since it started on February 24th, 2022. Unfortunately, each day has progressively gotten worse, forcing families to hide in bunkers while the sirens continually go off. It pains me to know this is happening to my mother, father, brother, grandmother and god-daughter, who are all located in Kyiv. At 55 years old, my father joined the forces on March 5th, 2022. My Mother has been worried for her family and those she has connected to as a former teacher and Realtor. Forty miles away in v. Makariv, they also own a beautiful property located in this village where they have managed the HOA for the past 15 years. Unfortunately, v. Makariv, where they were attempting to seek shelter at the beginning of the war, is now located directly in the middle of a Ukrainian and Russian standoff as the Russians try to gain access to Kyiv.Those who could leave and those left behind need our help with housing accommodations and financial assistance. It has become increasingly expensive to buy necessities like food and gas. I am asking for your help. Suppose you have friends or family who can open their homes to families seeking shelter, or if you're able to donate, every penny will go directly to help my family and those close to them.
