Update
2 September 2024
Unfortunately the borders are closed. The genocide is still going on. While Im typing this from the comfort of my home..
Alaa and his family are stuck because the borders are closed. Therefore he had no choise and used the donations to survive the unbearable situation there. He asked me to raise the limit which I will do because I am ashamed of the fact that this sh*t is still going on!!!
9/5 Update:
Hello everyone,
First of all I want to thank you on behalf of Alaa and his family.
We managed to get a date for evacuation for his mom, she was going to travel from Gaza to Egypt today. That would be a sparkle of hope in this dark days, unfortunately the borders are closed now.Alaa told that when the borders are open his mother will be able to travel.
I wish for us all to get that news soon.
For now the situation is getting worse and worse.. Alaa asked if I could write an update so here I am trying to be hopefull yet honest about the updates. But the situation is inhumane in Rafah..
His sister and her family, who were first insisting on staying decided that leaving is the safest thing to do. As promised we will do what we can to help.
Lots of love

Update: the prices for travel raised from 5000,- to 7500.- dollar Alaa told me. So we are on the right track but need to collect a higher amount but I believe we can do that all together! Here a little message from our brother!
Hi all, Ive been contacted by a family stuck in Gaza and I promised to share their story so we might help them to survive!
"I am nurse Alaa Fayez Al-Harazin from Gaza, which has been subjected to intense bombing since the events of October 7, and until this moment the aggression and bombing of our people in Gaza has not stopped, in addition to all kinds of suffering, torment and violations.
Slow death due to hunger, thirst, displacement, spread of diseases and inability to obtain any medical care. And the constant threat of death due to the continuous bombing. Since the beginning of the war, my family and I have been displaced from our home in Gaza City to southern Rafah, where we now live in completely inhumane conditions.
Before the displacement, I was working in a hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, but now the situation has changed, and there are no longer hospitals to work in. We set up a small tent in Rafah where I, my mother, and my father lived. Fortunately, we had a room alone and rented it.
Every passing day brings more losses
We lost family members, I lost my job, we lost our home, we lost our dream. My parents suffer from chronic diseases (diabetes and blood diseases) and I take care of them now, but I cannot find the necessary treatment for them except with great difficulty.
We are now without anything and do not have anything. There is no way to continue our education or rebuild our lives except by going to Egypt and crossing over.
To cross the “Rafah” crossing between Gaza and Egypt, you must put your name on the crossing list (paid permit), and the coordinators in Egypt who have the ability to add our names to the list at the border are now asking for an amount starting from $5,000 per person! They will not add names until we can prove that we have the funds ready. I just want my mother and father to leave to save their lives, because I am very afraid for them due to the lack of treatment and the continuous bombing that has not stopped.
Please help us, we would greatly appreciate any donation you can make, even a small one that would make a big difference in alleviating our suffering. I will be forever grateful for your kind assistance in this difficult time."
