Yoselis Regino Barrios Scholarship

Donation protected
On November 7, 2017, Yoselis Regino Barrios was taken too soon due to a senseless act of gun violence in Washington, D.C. Yoselis’s sense of humor always brought a smile to those around him, and his passing has deeply affected those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Yoselis, a sixteen-year-old, an 11th grader at Capital City Public Charter School, and a Marshall-Brennan student, was an intelligent person with a passion to go to college and continue his education. He was determined to work hard for a better future not only for himself, but for his family.

To honor Yoselis and his passions, Capital City Public Charter School and the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project have come together to start a scholarship in Yoselis’s name. The scholarship will be awarded to a Capital City Public Charter School Student with the passion to further their education, to help ease the financial burden of pursuing higher education.
