Yorkshire three peaks walk to support Ellie’s #project202020

Hi, my name is Kelly Horrocks and I am fundraising to support Ellie Horrocks’ project 202020 challenge.

Ellie is my amazing, crazy and determined daughter who is planning on running the length of the UK this summer! Ellie is planning on running from John o’groats to the lands end, which is a total on 847 miles! Ellie plans to complete this challenge in only 20 days, that is approximately 43.7 miles a day! She aims to do this before her 21st birthday, making her the youngest female in the UK to do this run! She is not just doing this for ‘fun’ but she is aiming to raise as much money as she can so she can fund at least 20 defibs for local gyms and sports clubs across the UK. Now Ellie is not only my daughter but she is also my coach! Ellie is a qualified CrossFit coach and PT, she runs her own beginners CrossFit fitness class for women twice a week called the ‘Werk it class’ and this has been running for almost a year now and we love it! I wanted to do something to support Ellie with raising her money for her challenge so as a group myself and some of the Werk it girls have decided that we are going to take on our own challenge this summer and walk the Yorkshire three peaks, this is a 24 mile round trip with 1585m of ascent and takes approximately 12 hours to complete! I know this is nothing compared to Ellie’s challenge but I know this will be a big challenge for me!
