Every July 3rd, something truly special happens in our little corner of the world: friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors come together for York Bash—a backyard celebration that’s become an annual tradition and a beloved kickoff to summer’s biggest holiday.

What began as a humble cookout has grown into a full-blown community event. There’s food, drinks, music, and at the center of it all—a fireworks finale like no other. The show is designed and launched using a custom-built firing system (yes, coded by hand), with over 150 mortar shells timed for maximum “oohs,” “ahhs,” and slightly singed eyebrows (figuratively, not literally).

This isn’t a business. It’s not a ticketed event. It’s a free community experience, and I throw everything I’ve got into making it bigger, better, and safer every year.
