Medical Equipment For Ukrainians

There is a dire need for medical equipment (ie: ventilators, an ultrasound machine, surgical equipment, etc) in Ukrainian hospitals.  Our goal is to purchase a minimum of 10 ventilators (costing about $2500 each), an ultrasound machine, and other needed medical equipment and deliver it all to doctors/hospitals in Ukraine during a scheduled humanitarian trip in May.  Thank you for your support!



Hi, my name is Laura Richards, and “Yoopers Love Ukrainians” began with a local Marquette family, the Ampes, who adopted two beautiful boys from Ukraine in 2018. Their ties and connections are deep with the biological parents of one of their boys as well as with other Ukrainian people they have met along the way on their adoption journey.

 

Joe Ampe will be flying to Poland with some others (some of whom have also adopted from Ukraine) and then heading to Ukraine to drop off desperately needed medical supplies that have been bought on Amazon and donated. (I do want to mention that one of the men going in a week and a half with Joe has already successfully completed one of these missions to drop off medical equipment.) Through word of mouth, news interviews and, of course, God’s unfailing love, this humanitarian effort has taken off!

 

Because of people’s generosity, we are launching this GoFundMe page to specifically raise money for some bigger items such as ventilators and an ultrasound machine. I am coordinating with Julie Kab, a Marquette area PA who is helping with the ordering of this specialized equipment. The ventilators we will be getting are costing anywhere from $2000 to $3000 per vent depending on the vendor.  This equipment will be delivered to Ukrainians hospitals on a 3rd mission planned for this May 2022 which Joe Ampe will also be going on.

 

I know many people are wondering how they can help the people of Ukraine. If you are one of these people please consider making a monetary donation for ventilators, an ultrasound machine and supplies to aid in this humanitarian mission. 100% of the money raised will go toward medical equipment (bought here in the U.S.) OR if airline weight limit maximum is met, any extra money will be spent IN Poland on items needed by the Ukrainian people (Requested items are over-the-counter medication like Tylenol, feminine products, diapers, formula, energy drinks, paper gowns, gloves, adult incontinent products).
