Yonkers 4 Alarm fire - Displaced family

Hi, my name is Lilian Cruz and I'm funding raising for my sister Angela Aguirre, who lost just about everything in a 4-alarm fire that displaced over 90 families and took the lives of 2 residents that will be missed. This devastating fire occurred at 671 Bronx River Road (The Mona Lisa) apartments in Yonkers, NY.

On March 8th she woke up to a rapidly spreading fire throughout the building. Fortunately, at the time it was only my sister and niece in the apartment and they were able to escape by using the fire escape with the help of 2 neighbors that woke them up and helped open a very heavy window, leaving everything behind. The building as a whole was severely damaged and will be inaccessible for some time, if at all.

Please consider making a donation. Prior to this, she spends a lot of her time volunteering and helping communities and organizations in between her own work (I’m sure she is still volunteering). It would be nice to know she is helped in her time of need. Any amount is appreciated. We are so grateful that they were able to get to safety. I pray for the family that lost their loved ones. May all those affected find their way through this challenging period.
