Sunday, January 1st, 2017, Yonas Mehari was tragically taken from us after a long struggle with diabetes. Yonas was visiting family and friends for New Years Eve celebrations in Saskatoon when he sadly passed.
Everyone has at least one funny story or memory to share of an experince they had with Yonas. He was a person that could always put a smile on your face or make you laugh. His positive energy was very infectious, he was a loving and caring friend, cousin, brother, son and remarkable human being. The loss of Yonas has been heartbreaking, words cannot describe how devastated we all are over the loss of such a genuinely innocent person. His mother's heart is in pieces as one can only imagine how difficult it would be losing her beloved son at such a young age unexpectedly. His friends and family are still trying to grasp this as reality. Yonas had a very positive impact on many people's lives. He will never be forgotten and forever live on in our memories. To help the family through this unfortante time, we are asking for small contributions that will fund a memorial for Yonas to honor his life.
All funds raised will go directly to Yonas' mother to help cover the costs for the funeral service and to help pay any expenses related to the memorial.
