Yona's Journey: Overcoming Cancer & ACL Tear

Hello, my name is Mickaylia. I am stepping out of my comfort zone and asking for help for my dog Yona. Anyone who knows me knows that my dogs are my world, I truly live for them.

Yona has over come so many battles in her 9 years of life thus far. In 2023, she was diagnosed with B-Cell lymphoma. We thankfully caught it early! She went through 16 weeks of weekly chemotherapy as well as scans, tests, and so much more. She has been cancer free since August 2023! She still has quarterly check ups and scans to make sure we keep it that way.

On Thursday June 5th my husband and I noticed Yona limping pretty severely. After two vet visits and x-rays we found out she tore her ACL. She will need TPLO surgery. We are not sure how this happened, I am always home with my dogs and nothing transpired that I would think could cause the tear, but nonetheless, it is torn.

Yonas chemotherapy treatment along with her check ups have been quite expensive. We are trying so hard to catch back up after her unexpected lymphoma diagnosis and now we are getting slammed with this TPLO surgery. We are told the low end is $5000 for the surgery for our girl. I hate hate hate asking for help but the sooner we can do this surgery, the sooner Yona can run and swim and play again.

Watching my girl not be able to do all that she loves is absolutely heartbreaking. We appreciate any help and all shares.
