Yolonda Marie Iszczyk (Ruiz), age 49, ended her eight-year battle with cancer on April 24th at home with her loving family. She is survived by her children, Gracey Delilah and Quinn Myles, and her husband, Bart.

 Yolonda, daughter of Linda DiDonato (William Zevlas) and stepdaughter of the late, Joseph Beebe, was born in East New York, Brooklyn, and raised in Bayonne. She is also survived by her sister, Desirée Beebe, cherished aunt, Gail Pons (DiDonato) and many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong Bayonne friends. 

 Yolonda was a graduate of Henry E. Harris, Bayonne High School, and New Jersey City University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Education. She enjoyed shaping young minds teaching in Jersey City and Bayonne. While the courageous fight with her illness prevented her from being back in the classroom, she derived her greatest pleasure and life’s accomplishment in her family and being home with her children. Despite multiple rounds of chemo and immuno-therapies, she was always at the ready to guide in homework, volunteer as class mother at All Saint’s Academy (alongside friend, Jennifer Mulcahy), cheer from the sidelines for BYSA Lightning, put the most special touches on any holiday or celebration, or plan a family vacation at the beach. Her love for her children and family was paramount and as beautiful and infectious as her smile.
