Yolanda Montellano is currently in the fight of her life against Leukemia (ALL) Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Yolie received a bone marrow transplant from her brother; unfortunately, 100 days in, she received heartbreaking news. The leukemia is aggressive and has come back, spreading throughout her body.
Yolie is a fighter. Several days ago, her heart stopped, and surrounded by friends, family and the power of prayer, was miraculously brought back to life.
Yolie was just moved out of ICU and will be discharged from Methodist Hospital in San Antonio soon. The doctors here have been a wonderful team, but have exhausted every option available.
Yolie is NOT giving up.
She will continue her fight at MD Anderson in Houston, participating in experimental treatments that she wholeheartedly believes will SAVE HER LIFE. These treatments are expensive, and Yolie has been out of work for a while, so the money you donate will help support her travel, lodging and expenses. It will also help support her family, a loving husband and three beautiful children that are in this fight with her.
