Yolanda's Cancer Journey Needs Your Aid

I’m starting this GoFundMe in the hopes that I can raise money to help my cousin Yolanda and the financial burdens that are coming with her recent cancer diagnosis. In October, Yolanda was diagnosed with a rare aggressive cancer, Stage 2, Grade 3 Endometrial Cancer. Since October she has already undergone two surgeries and has not been able to work since the end of August. Her paid family medical leave has exhausted and the only other income in the household is from her husband Greg. However, he has also been having to take time off to be by her side and transport her to and from doctor appointments. He is not eligible for Paid Family Medical Leave. Her cancer provider and treatment center are at Virginia Mason in Seattle. She will be starting radiation treatment immediately which requires her to be in Seattle weekly, perhaps multiple days a week. She is desperately needing help with gas and lodging and other miscellaneous expenses during this time such as medical bills and meals. I’ve always admired Yolanda for her perseverance and strength. She raised three kids as a single mother, worked full-time all while obtaining her nursing degree. She has helped many others in their desperate times, and I hope we can do the same for her now. Anything helps and we appreciate what you can give at this time. I just want to make sure that she maintains her positivity in this difficult time and having less financial burden will be most beneficial. Thank you!
