My dear Uncle has suffered a great loss with the sudden passing of his beloved wife Yoko. She suffered an unexpected medical emergency that tragically took her life. As he and his teenage daughter navigate this difficult time, we are hoping to rally around them and provide some financial support to ease the burden.

My Uncle and Aunt had been married for over 25 years and had built a beautiful life and family in Canada together. Yoko was selfless, sensible and the caregiver of the family. They were a true example of love and commitment and her sudden passing has left a huge void in his life and the life of their daughter. My Uncle is now facing the difficult task of navigating the practical and financial aspects of laying his wife to rest, and his daughter is now dealing with the emotional toll of losing her mother at such a young age.

We are hoping to raise $15.000 to help my Uncle and his Daughter during this time of need. These funds will go towards the unexpected financial burden of funeral expenses and flying my Uncle and his Daughter out to Yoko’s family in Japan to assist in setting up a memorial and provide support during this trying time. We're also hoping to help raise funds to provide further educational supports for their daughter (who is currently in grade 11) as this sudden loss has been so deeply affecting to her. We hope that this financial support can provide some comfort and peace of mind during this heartbreaking time.

My Uncle is a kind and generous man, always putting others before himself. His work in the military and as a first responder, as well as his community volunteer work exemplify this. Now it's our turn to show him the same kindness and generosity that he has shown to so many others. Any amount, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way towards supporting my Uncle and his Daughter during this time.
