Yohjana’s Help Fund (Ayuda Para Yohjana)

As many of you know my sister Yohjana or Yo has been in the hospital in ICU  since last Monday.  When she was first admitted her blood pressure was extremely low because her heart was filling with fluid.  She had a procedure done right away to drain as much as they could of the fluid.  While they did that they discovered she was fighting a very aggressive infection but did not know where and what the infection was.  After many, many tests they found the infection and on Thursday night she had another almost 5hour emergency surgery to remove that infection.  Since they had to make a very large incision (from her pelvic bone to past her belly button) the problem then became that she was unable to take deep enough breaths for oxygen to get to all parts of her lungs because of the pain of the incision.  As of yesterday some parts of her lungs were collapsing.  While this is going on they also found that her heart is once again filling with fluid.  Unfortunately having Down syndrome complicates everything so much more health wise.  Today doctors made the decision to transfer her to University Of Colorado Hospital in Aurora.  From Gillette that is a 51/2 hour drive. She is now on her way there via airplane and my parents and sister are traveling via car. Once there,  Doctors will decide what the next best step of action will be.  I know many of you know my parents and know how hospitable they have always been and I know they have many friends that love and care for them as well as Yohjana. I am making this Gofundme page for all of those who  have been asking how they can help and anyone else that would like to help.  So if you would like to donate something for travel needs, food while in hospital, medicines needed and just cost of my parents not being able to work while not being able to leave Yohjana’s side, please do so here.  Thanks In advance for all your calls and prayers.  It has been a really scary and stressful time for the family but  we hope with Jehovahs help Yohjana will be able to get through this.  We love you all. Como muchos de ustedes saben my hermana Yohjana a estado en cuidados intensivos en el hospital desde el lunes pasado.   Cuando la admitieron por primera vez su presión de sangre estaba muy baja porque su corazón se estaba llenando de líquido.  Tuvo un procedimiento hecho rápidamente para poder quitarle la mayoría del líquido del corazón.  Mientras hacían eso notaron que estaba peleando una infección muy severa, pero no sabían dónde estaba o que era.  Después de estudio tras estudio finalmente el jueves pudieron ver dónde estaba la infección y tuvieron que hacer una cirugía de emergencia de casi 5horas para removerle todo la infección. Dado a que tuvieron que hacerle una incisión muy grande (desde el hueso pélvico hasta pasado del ombligo) el problema entonces fue que no podía respirar profundamente para que oxígeno llegara a todas las partes de sus pulmones.  Por eso desde ayer sus pulmones están colapsando. Mientras todo esto está pasando hoy le encontraron que su corazón se está llenando de líquido otra vez, Así que los doctores de aquí decidieron transferirla al hospital University of Colorado.  De Gillette a Denver es como cinco horas y media. Ahora está en camino para allá en avión. Mis papás y mi hermana están en camino por carro.  Cuando llegue allí los doctores decidiran que son los pasos siguientes por seguir.  Yo se que muchos de ustedes conocen bien a mis papás y conocen lo hospitalarios  que siempre han sido y se que muchos los quieren y los aprecian mucho igual que a Yohjana.  Estoy haciendo esta pagina para los que gusten ayudar con alguna donación.  Para gastos médicos, de medicinas, de viaje, comida mientras están en el hospital y etc.  Si gustarían hacerlo pueden hacerlo aqui.  Gracias de antemano por la ayuda y las oraciones.
