On December 18th, Calle and I were out of town when we received a call from my best friend that she was really concerned about Yogi. Over the next 90 minutes, Yogi deteriorated quickly and wasn't expected to survive long enough for us to get home. We raced to get to the ER, praying and pleading that we would make it to say goodbye. Yogi proved to be a force to be reckoned with, and we are immensely blessed to say he made it home on December 21st after 3 days in the ICU. His road to recovery and uncovering what caused his crisis is far from over, but we are grateful to be able to hold him tight this Christmas. While we were willing to pay any price to save our boy, the emotional, mental, and financial burden has been significant.
