Thank you for taking the time to read this Go Fund Me request! We're hoping you can help. Our beloved Yogi (aka Yogurt) had ACL surgery last November, to repair a fully torn ligament in his left leg. It was difficult financially, but we managed to scrape together the money for that necessary surgery. Thankfully, the surgery was 100% successful. Yogi then had a long and slow 4-month recovery, the first month of which he spent in a 6 x 6 pen, with Jen, the best animal nurse in the business, tending to his healing needs.
We were warned that there was a high percentage of likelihood that the other ACL would tear, so we did our best to keep his daily activity and playtime limited, kept a watchful eye, and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, 10 months after his last surgery, Yogi has torn his ACL ligament in his right leg. Because of the severity of the damage, coupled with his limited use of that right leg, his surgery has now been pushed up to September 29th. The surgery for his right leg will be identical to last year's left leg ACL surgery.
We have not fully caught up financially after his left leg ACL surgery from last year, and the urgency of this next necessary procedure finds us needing to reach out for help. If you are able, we are hoping that you'd be willing to help pitch in a small amount to aid us in affording this upcoming $4000 procedure.
We have never gone this route before, and it is admittedly awkward but the need to see Yogi healthy, pain free and happy again is stronger than that awkwardness. We thank you deeply for considering our request and stay tuned for updates!
Jen & Erik
