Yogabliss is a very special place and so much more than a yoga studio ~
Yogabliss is a sanctuary where Islanders come together to practice yoga, mindfulness meditation and so many other movement classes that support our physical health and overall well being . Our studio and amazing community began in 2003, in the Lakeview Schoolhouse (Sunnybeam!) here on MI. We have grown over the years to include many modalities such as TRX training, BlissBarre, yoga conditioning, Tai Chi and much more. We are passionate about coming together to learn and explore all of the ways that the life practice of yoga, can enhance and support a more balanced way of life. We love teaching and helping others find a deeper sense of steadiness in their lives, so that we might all show up together with more care & compassion for others.
In the face of the pandemic, we had to close our beautiful studio on March 15th. We quickly began offering some of our classes online, as a way of keeping a few of our teachers working and in the effort to keep our community connected during these frightening times. (If you haven't joined us for a class yet, we hope you will very soon-)
Yogabliss has 24 skillful teachers on our teaching team, all of whom are Independent Contractors and have now lost their income and the opportunity to teach what they love. We have continued to pay Manager and Assistant Manager, as these wonderful young women are vital to our community and we cannot bear to think of leaving them without income. Our rent expenses are extremely high and the trickle of income we have right now, does not even begin to cover the cost of having and running a business on MI.
Any and all donations that we receive from your generous hearts will go towards our rent, supporting our teachers and paying our managers. If you have the means to help us and it is your wish that Yogabliss be healthy and open for business after this period of closure, I hope you might consider donating to us.
Our continued aspiration is that individually and collectively we will strive to see the truth more clearly, to choose more wisely and to love more fully. With your support, we promise to continue to serve our students and support Mercer Island for years to come.
