Yoga Love to help Dar get a new hip

Dear friends of Inner Fire Yoga and Darlene Vanderhoop:

Dar is having a hip replaced on December 29th, which is great news for her and for all of us because then she can get back to zooming around, and sharing her amazing yoga/life wisdom and experience with us, while being pain-free. There is no doubt that Dar followed her bliss in her career as a yoga teacher. Her joy is in learning and teaching dance, movement therapies, and yoga. She has traveled the world teaching yoga, and her mark has been duly made on the Inner Fire Yoga community, whom Dar loves and respects. Darlene has secured a highly esteemed and experienced local surgeon, but this procedure comes with lots of out-of-pocket costs, plus she’ll be unable to work for several months. I am asking our entire community to chip in and help, every little bit counts. Darlene estimates the out-of-pocket costs, which include copays, rehab costs, living costs, dog sitter costs, food costs and transportation costs, will be about $5,000. I have a hunch that is a low estimate. So I'm setting a goal of $10,000. Between our beloved Inner Fire Yoga community of 20 years and the worldwide yoga community who knows and loves Dar, this should be an easy goal to reach. It would be nice if she could rest easy and focus on her rehab without worry. So let's show Darlene our yoga love. ♥️
