Yoga Fights Hunger

Theerooengomalai, is a small rural town in Tamil Nadu.  There about  poor 300 families and due to the Covid pandemic, many of them have lost their jobs mostly as laborers and are struggling to put food on the table.  This fundraiser is to assist the Lalita Samajam ashram who not only runs an orphanage there, they also provides some assistance to the poor.  This will help the ashram provide a week's supply of food during the summer months for the 300 families and their children.  Each packet costs about $13 per family.

The ashram also cares for about 150 orphans.  You can sponsor 1 orphan for about $120 a year.  This takes care of their food, housing and schooling costs.  The orphans are aged 4 years old and up.  They are cared for by the Yoginis who have dedicated their lives to SEVA in their community.

Once you make your donation, you can join my virtual Yoga classes offered via ZOOM.  Please contact us  for Zoom class details.  Classes are offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays 7:00AM Hawaii time.

Thank you for joining me on this Karma Yoga endeavour.  You can learn more about the ashram and the Yoginis here Yogini Ashram
