Heart Surgery for Baby Yo ❤️
Donation protected
Meet Yoda (AKA Baby Yo, AKA YoYo), a coming 12 year old dachshund. He needs heart surgery to live longer than the predicted 6-12 months. Please consider donating, thank you!
He was diagnosed with Chronic Degenerative Valve Disease, Atrial Premature Contractions, and Congestive Heart Failure. He has been recommended for surgical repair at the University of Florida Animal Hospital with a cost of $40,000-$50,000 which doesn’t include the cost for any complications, two weeks of accommodations staying out of state for the follow up appointment, pre-surgical screening tests and exams (approximately $3,000) and any follow up appointments. My vet believes he is a good candidate for this procedure based on his overall health otherwise and has been added to the wait list for surgery. The rate of success for this procedure is very high and my vet has personally had dogs undergo the surgery and make a full recovery with no further need for medications. Without this surgery, Yoda has a year or less to live. Any and all contributions will help - no donation amount is too small. I will be applying for a loan for the remainder of the costs.
***DISCLAIMER***
Should Yoda no longer be a good candidate due to the progression of his disease or should he pass away before the surgery date, all remaining funds will be dispersed to local rescues or donated to someone else’s pet hospital bill who cannot afford it.
