Slow down for a minute to help our Spay & Neuter programs in Baja Sur
It has been more than two decades since the first Spay & Neuter programs were implemented in Baja Sur. As they were launched it became evident that education and awareness campaigns were the only way to make these programs a success. It was through the effort of more than half a dozen associations and organizations that the stray animal population had begun to be under control, sadly the COVID-19 pandemic changed that as many families in the “barrios” saw their sources of income disappear and they could no longer afford to feed their pets.
During the past year, shelters have filled to capacity, while donations have dropped. Thousands of dogs and cats have returned to the streets to face hunger and abuse, and many continue to reproduce. For this reason, the Spay & Neuter campaigns are more important than ever. We want to keep dogs and cats off the streets and curb the growth of the stray population and the only way to do it is with your help.
Our goal for this first Spring Spay & Neuter Campaign is to spay and neuter 650 dogs and cats in Baja Sur. Through your generous donation we will be able to spay and neuter 650 dogs and cats, host the volunteers, and vets from PET Los Cabos, who travel for the clinics, continue education and awareness programs to encourage spaying and neutering of pets in low-income areas, and the fostering and adopting of abandoned and stray dogs and cats.
Every donation means a chance for a better life for the dogs and cats and a better healthier environment for the people in the barrios of Baja Sur.
A $20 dollar donation helps one dog or cat. How many can you help?
