This fund is to help Sandy Wages, wife of William L. Wages (Bill). Bill passed away on February 6th, 2017 from complications with his lungs. As many of you knew Bill had fought a good battle with lung cancer in the past year.
Bill served 32 years in the military, and retired as a Federal Police Officer from Fort Hunter Liggett, near Paso Robles, CA. Bill and Sandy started their family in Redwood City, then moved to the Paso Robles area in the early 70's. They continued to live in Paso with their family and friends until 2014 when they moved to build their dream home on their property in Fort Garland, CO.
In the past few months, Bill had complications with his lungs that led Bill and Sandy to leave Colorado and come home to California where Bill could get the care he needed; however their plans changed when he started to have diffilcuty with his lungs and was transferred to Tucson, Arizona. This is where Bill passed away after being in the hospital for over 2 1/2 weeks.
At this time, Sandy and the family were able to be by his side at the time he was in the hospital and until the morning he passed quietly in his sleep.
This fund is to assist Sandy Wages with the memorial services, unexpected travel expenses that incurred, and with establishing a temporary home in California for Sandy while she stays with family and friends during this time of need.
We appreciate all of you in helping Sandy, and the family.
