Help Tori get a service dog
Donation protected
My name is Kristen and I am fundraising on behalf of my best friends, Tori and Kaiden. On September 5th, Kaiden and Tori were in a bad car crash that sent both of them to the hospital. Kaiden had surgery on his arm and lung and is recovering at home. Tori has been in the hospital since and has had surgery on her heart, wrist, and ankle. She has fractures on her skull, spine, hip, pelvis, and ribs. She is in the rehab unit at St. Mary's until she is able to be sent home to continue her recovery.
Tori had an amazing psychiatric service dog, Koa, that she trained for 6 years. The two were inseparable. Koa came with us everywhere and even used the alerts she learned for Tori on Tori's friends and family if she felt they needed it. Unfortunately, Koa was in the car during the accident. Despite the fact that was was secured in the backseat, she sustained injuries and was rushed to the emergency vet, but she passed later that night. Due to the scope of Tori's injuries, she will need a service dog that performs tasks for physical disabilities as well as psychiatric needs.
This fundraiser will go directly to Tori to assist with all the costs that come along with months-long recovery and searching for a service dog that will be able to help Tori for many years to come.
