Support Derek's Fight Against Brain Cancer

Derek was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma IDH wildtype brain cancer on January 13, 2025. He is a 39 year old husband and a daddy to three sons. Derek has been a hard worker all of his life but is no longer able to work due to this cancer. He has had a craniotomy to remove a large part of his tumor but they were not able to remove all of it. He is currently going through five days a week of radiation and seven days a week of chemo. Once he finishes these treatments he will have four weeks off and another MRI to see how the treatments have worked. After that he should be getting five days of chemo per month for the next several months. As of now his symptoms have improved but he is still having trouble with balance, leg pain and cramps, headaches although not as bad as what he had at diagnosis, and a little nausea. Needless to say this has changed our lives. The end of this journey is nowhere in site. Medical bills seem to be increasing daily. We have been so blessed with friends, family, church family, and even new friends that we’ve not even met that have donated to our family monetarily and brought food to our house to help during hospital stays and the last several weeks of driving to radiation daily. We will be leaving this go fund me page active for those that want to give here but we can be contacted directly for other methods of making donations towards Derek’s care as well. We want to thank everyone that has already donated to help us and we hope you all know how much it is appreciated. Your donations have allowed us to keep our household taken care of as well as make payments towards Derek’s medical bills. The biggest help that has touched my heart is that these donations have allowed me to be with Derek to take care of him and just be with him since diagnosis. There’s no way to put into words how thankful I am for that. God has been good to our family through this and we know He has a plan for Derek.
