I am writing this in hopes of receiving any sort of help. My name is Nina, and I am a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and was unable to start treatment due to not having insurance. I was able to obtain treatment in Costa Rica in 2020 and moved to start my treatment with my youngest daughter. During this time, I was being treated there, COVID hit, and I was unable to finish my treatment. I moved back and found a doctor to continue treatment with. During this time, the doctor I was meeting with sent me for different scans and tests to be done. I would then complete them all in a timely manner, and the doctor would not see me until months later. By then, the scans were invalid, so she would send me for more that my insurance wouldn't cover anymore. In the months that were wasted with no treatment, my cancer spread, and I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that spread to one of my lungs and thyroid. I was able to find a doctor that took my health seriously and provided me with care. Due to the spread of my cancer, I have to be left on lifetime preventative cancer treatment to keep it from continuing to spread. This leaves my family and me in a position to pay for chemo treatments, specialist appointments, dietary needs, along with other health needs to continue this treatment. I have had to stop working to deal with my health, and it has left us in a position of needing help. I am grateful for any help that is given. I am a firm believer that I serve a miracle-working God, and as I continue to seek treatment, I am also hoping for a miracle as I want to be able to enjoy my granddaughters and my family for many more years.
