**Updated Situation**
Update #1
Please find the original story under the update.
Hello Everyone,
I would like to start this off by thanking you all for your support, time, and cooperation in this matter.
Unfortunately, the situation has gotten worse. They have already lost one sister (Lana) and there's still no sign of things improving.
Below, please find Haya's update about the situation in her own words.
Regards,
Ehab Alsibakhi

Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. Unfortunately, my family and I are not in good health. We lost my little sister, our beloved Lana, due to the tragic events in Gaza. We were in what we believed to be a safe area, but the Zionist occupation knows no mercy.
Lana was killed by a bullet from an occupation plane. We thought she was lying on the ground out of fear but then, she was shot in the head. We had to witness her drown in her own blood. It was the hardest moment of my life, witnessing her in such pain alongside my mother and sister. We lost her on August 26, and to this day, it feels surreal.
I am reaching out to ask for your help. We need to collect donations to facilitate our escape from this area, as I fear for the safety of my remaining family. My mother has some health issues, and the news of Lana’s death has devastated her. The only way for us to leave is through coordinated efforts at the crossing.
My sister is also struggling to continue her university studies amid these challenges. The internet is unreliable in our area, and the university is far away.
Our lives have been completely upended; our home is destroyed, and we received the news through devastating images. I will share photos of dear Lana and our ruined house. If you need more information or have any questions, please let me know.
Please help us by sharing our situation and supporting our fundraising efforts. Your prayers and assistance mean the world to us during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you.
End of update #1
**************
Dear friends, family and communities,
My name is Ehab Alsibakhi from Ottawa, ON, Canada. I am writing this on behalf of my cousin and her family; Manal Alsibakhi, and her 3 daughters, Haya Shaqura, Yara Shaqura and Lana Shaqura. They were forced to leave their house, forced to leave everything behind, and forced to move to Rafah (south of Gaza). Now, they are living in terribly dangerous, inhumane, and cold conditions. They are sick, scared, and exhausted. With no end in sight to the rising tensions, they have become desperate to get out of Gaza and into safety.
The funds will be utilized for the following:
1 - For border crossing fees (4 x 6800 CAD = 27,200 CAD)
(I.e : Companies are charging over $5000 USD per person over the age of 12 – and $2500 USD per person for anyone under the age of 12 – to access permits to cross into Egypt.)
2- My cousin's medical treatments
3- Transportation, temporary accommodation, and other essential expenses associated with ( rent, groceries, medications, furniture, etc.) until they are able to support themselves.
Please find their story in their own words below. This was narrated by one of her daughters, Haya. Please help raise the money needed to get them into Egypt.

Hello, my name is Haya. I am 19 years old. I live in Gaza, specifically in a tent in the city of Rafah, after I was displaced from my home 3 times before arriving here.
My family and I saw death with our own eyes because of the occupation, destruction, and bombing that we were exposed to in Gaza. What is happening now is that the occupation is threatening to enter the city of Rafah, and what that means is that we will have to leave here or die, after there is no place left for us because we lost our home, our future, and many of our loved ones. We even lost the opportunity for any good education due to the destruction of our university and schools, Me and my sisters, Yara and Lana, with my mother, who is suffering from a health condition, and she needs complete health care, which we cannot provide for her after the destruction of hospitals in Gaza. This situation now means that there are no necessities for life to live here. We have nothing left, no hospitals, no health care, no education. We have lost everything,
and our last hope is for you to help us gather this amount of money that is barely enough to pay for the coordination of crossing to Egypt and to provide health care for my mother and education for me and my siblings. This is our last chance.
