Hello everyone,

We are Marc and Elwan, two film students at NARAFI, and we will soon be making our graduation film.

Both passionate about traveling, we each spent a semester abroad through the Erasmus program. This incredible experience opened our eyes to new cultures and, most importantly, to the amazing people we met along the way. It is through this experience that the concept of our film was born.

If meeting new souls is a wonderful thing, how far do we choose to deepen these connections? This is the question our short film explores. While encounters may feel effortless, goodbyes often come with a troubling ease, leaving behind only the fleeting imprint of what could have been.

Our short film tells the story of Luna (11 years old) and her mother, who travel in a caravan. Along the way, Luna meets another girl with whom she forms a beautiful friendship, but soon, she must say goodbye.

From the very beginning, it was essential for us not just to make a film but to tell a story in which we see ourselves, and hopefully, others will too.

Making a film requires an enormous amount of time, effort, and money, but there is nothing more rewarding than bringing a project to life and being proud of the result. If you would like to help us make this film a reality, every contribution counts and brings us one step closer to completion!

Bonjour à tous,

Nous sommes Marc et Elwan, deux étudiants en cinéma à NARAFI, et nous allons bientôt réaliser notre film de fin d’études.

Tous les deux passionnés par les voyages, nous avons chacun passé un semestre à l’étranger, en Erasmus. Cette expérience incroyable nous a ouvert les yeux sur de nouvelles cultures, sans oublier les personnes formidables que nous avons rencontrées. C’est au travers de cette expérience qu’est né le concept de notre film.

Si rencontrer de nouvelles âmes est une merveille, jusqu’où choisit-on d’approfondir ces liens ? C’est la question que soulève notre court-métrage. Car si les rencontres naissent avec évidence, les adieux, eux, surviennent avec une troublante facilité, laissant derrière eux l’empreinte éphémère de ce qui aurait pu être.

Notre court-métrage raconte l’histoire de Luna (11 ans) et de sa maman, qui voyagent en caravane. En chemin, Luna fait la rencontre d’une autre fille avec qui une belle amitié commence à se développer, mais à qui elle doit rapidement dire adieu.

Dès le début, il était essentiel pour nous de ne pas simplement faire un film, mais de raconter une histoire dans laquelle nous nous reconnaissons; et, nous l’espérons, d’autres aussi.

Faire un film demande énormément de temps, d’efforts et d’argent, mais il n’y a rien de plus beau que d’aboutir à un projet dont nous sommes fiers. Si vous souhaitez nous aider à donner vie à notre projet, chaque contribution compte et nous rapproche un peu plus de son aboutissement !

Hey, Marc en Elwan hier. Wij zijn twee filmstudenten aan het NARAFI en maken binnenkort onze bachelorfilm.

We zijn allebei gepassioneerd door reizen en hebben elk een semester op Erasmus gezeten. Dit was een ongelooflijke ervaring waarin we een nieuwe cultuur en fantastische mensen leerden kennen. Het concept voor deze film is dan ook uit deze ervaring ontstaan. We merkten hoe makkelijk het soms kan zijn om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten, maar ook hoe moeilijk het is om diepere connecties te vormen of afscheid te nemen.

Onze kortfilm gaat over een 11-jarig meisje dat samen met haar mama rondreist in een caravan. Onderweg ontmoet ze een ander meisje, met wie ze een sterke vriendschap opbouwt, maar al snel moet ze opnieuw afscheid nemen.

Vanaf het begin was het voor ons belangrijk om niet zomaar een film te maken, maar een verhaal te vertellen waarin wij ons allebei herkennen en hopelijk anderen ook.
