To my fellow believers in Christ:

My name is Cameron Ray. I have lived in Garfield, Ga at New Beginnings in Christ in Garfield, Ga for nearly three years now. God has recently invited me on a mission trip to Uganda, Africa where he has told me to visit the widows and the orphans. My pastors, Mike Ogden and Jeff Raines, along with 16 others, including myself, will be leaving in December and staying for 3 weeks. Pastor Mike has been going every year for over 10 years. This is Pastor Jeff's third year going. They both have ministries there that they provide for throughout the year with donations, as well as their own personal funds. I've never been on a mission trip before or even left the country, so I really don't know what to expect. But I'm hoping to gain a whole new perspective on the world and life and God. The mission is not so much a preaching mission as it will be a giving mission. Uganda is a very poor country. My hope is to join Pastor Mike and Pastor Jeff along with the others to provide financial support, gifts, and blessings to whoever God puts in my path during the journey. I'm prepared to spend as much of my own money as needed but I'm also asking for your help. The plane ticket and the insurance will cost a little over a thousand dollars. I've been told to bring at least a thousand for the daily costs of beings down there (rent, food, transportation). However, I would like to raise above and beyond that because anything extra I will be able to give away to those who are in need. I will not be able to save all the money myself, so I'm asking for the help of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray God blesses you.
