Hope for Daigle Family
We are asking for help giving some hope to our cousin Karen and her family. On December 12 Karen's husband Mark, 48, had a massive stroke. He has suffered brain damage and is unable to walk. He is still in the hospital and has now contracted MERCA, a staph infection. He was told he will never be able to work again. Mark is the only breadwinner in the home as Karen was diagnosed at 11 year of age with Type 1 diabetes and has lost sight in one eye and has very little sight in the other. She is in second stage kidney failure and is on heart medications and can no longer work.
They have two daughters, one who suffers from complications from Graves disease and one in college. They are a wonderful, loving family who are fearful of losing their home.
This family has been through so many difficult times. Nine years ago Mark also suffered from a massive heart attack but was able to recover. Karen has lost both of her parents in the last few years and of course their constant struggle with health problems
This family has faced many challenges but Karen could still smile and laugh. She always would try to make it seem like everything was okay. Unfortunately that smile has disappeared now and we believe that they need hope to bring it back.
The family needs money to pay the mortgage right now and for living expenses. The prognosis is not great for either Mark or Karen but as a family we are hoping that any money raised can help them get through the next year.
Please consider helping Karen, Mark and the girls. We would all be so greatful for any help at all.
Thank You,
Family of Karen and Mark
