I (DNA) ran a free weekly room for 13 years here before I took over the club. I created two comedy festivals (Chico and Santa Cruz), was on the BOD of Comedy Day in SF for a decade, ran multiple other weekly and monthly rooms. My entire life was comedy. That's now on hold.
Since then I have been running 4 virtual shows a week. Our headliners have been some of my favorite comics like Myq Kaplan, Carmen Lynch, Eddie Pepitone, Caitlin Gill, Dave Ross etc.. Everyone is adapting to this new virtual world as we make our way through the strangeness.
Our virtual shows split the tickets sales 50/50 to get money in comedians hands, and our 50% goes to keeping The Lab on hold until we can open our doors again. PG&E, permits, fees and rent is crazy even with our doors closed, so every little bit helps guarantee we can open again.
Thank you for your support and love of comedy (and me!)
