It's with a humble and heavy heart that I am reaching out to my friends for some help. If you know me you know I love my cat Princess with every inch of my heart.
Princess has become very ill and the bills are piling up, over $2000 in the last couple of days. She had been staying at Parkdale Animal Hospital through the day with the help of the amazing doctors and technicians and being transferred over night to the Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Cambridge for overnight observation. She has a continuous IV and has been so far diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. We don't know whether a secondary cause is the issue as her blood count has remained very low. She may need a blood transfusion. She hasn't been able to eat or drink and is very lethargic and weak.
Her bills include her exams, continuous blood work, CBC, nausea meds, steroids, xrays, leukemia test, urinalysis, catheter, continuous IV fluids, and round the clock care and monitoring. If you are a pet owner and have had endure a sick pet you know how costly this can be.
As of yet her condition is stable as her blood count hasn't dropped but it is severely low. I may have to continue with hospitalization if it doesn't improve and for now we are going ahead with daily meds for anemia and watching her condition.
My birthday is in one week and all I want is to have my sweet beautiful baby back in my arms healthy again. As I write this I have tears in my eyes. I don't want tohave to question saving her life based on the cost of a vet bill.
Any amount would mean the world. I appreciate all the support already on this hard time. Thank you from the deepest depths of me heart ❤
