We all go through life with the goal in mind to be as happy as possible yet we never really think about the hardships and could possibly happen to us. Never in a million years did I ever think I’d be writing this bio, telling my story. In December of 2018, my husband and I found out that we were going to bringing a new baby into the world!!! We we’re expecting! After losing our son in the year previous, this new gift we were blessed with brought us so much joy and happiness!!! Around the same time, I also noticed a tender lump on my neck and was a little concerned, as it was causing me some pain. My primary doctor sent me to get it checked out, leaving me with, “ It doesn’t look like anything concerning, we will keep an eye on it.” A few weeks later, I was referred to an ENT who ended up admitting me into the hospital for a week on IV antibiotics, and did yet another test to see what was going on in this now massive lump in my neck. Mind you, we're now in FEBRUARY OF 2019 at about 2 months pregnant. All of the tests they ran on me, all of my blood work showed that there was nothing to be concerned about. Sounds great right? I wish I could stop there. Up until this time I’ve just been hearing “We will keep an eye on it”. As you can imagine, being high risk, dealing with trying my best to stay as healthy as possible to bring our bundle of joy into the world, is and has been pretty stressful. But a mother has to do what a mother has to do!!! We are truly superhero’s!!! I JUST COULDNT TAKE “Its Nothing” for an answer! Let’s fast forward to the present. MAY 2019, I noticed a lump under my arm pit that was very painful. My OB sent me in the right direction and i couldn’t be more thankful. After an open biopsy and wonderful doctors who were genuinely concerned, June 6th of 2019 at 6 1/2 MONTHS PREGNANT, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Gray Zone Lymphoma.  Sounds scary right? Well, to some it can be. However, I know whom I belong to, and I have total faith that I and my unborn baby girl be okay and come out victorious . I know this journey is going to get hard at times, but my husband and I will be fighting this EVERY STEP OF THE WAY with Gods help and yours! This page will help support the Holden family financially through this process. It will help with chemo treatments that I get, but special monitoring for baby as well DURING the treatments, travel to the best hospital in an entire different state every week, prescribed medicines, oncology and High Risk appointments. As I have insurance, these things are PRETTY costly. Anything helps and I am fighting to beat this and remain strong. I appreciate every prayer, thought, call, text, PM and gift. It means more to me than you’ll ever know. #HoldenStrong #AshStrong
