English Version
In the heart of Suriname’s Para district, a silent ecological crisis is unfolding. The invasive tree species Acacia mangium is spreading rapidly, destroying native flora, fruit trees, and medicinal plants vital to local culture and survival. It threatens not just biodiversity but also the livelihoods and traditions of entire communities.

Together with local expert Fergill Ristie and the people of Para, we’ve launched an urgent initiative and plan:
Remove the invasive trees
Restore native ecosystems
Use wood and leaves for animal feed and furniture
Rebuild food security and create jobs

My name is Priscilla Motman, born in Suriname. Alongside Fergill Ristie, a resident of Para, we’re taking urgent action to protect nature and empower local communities.

Help us raise €25,000 for Phase 1: equipment, animals, transport, replanting, and four local jobs.

Donate. Share. Help us save the Surinamese Amazon — before it’s too late.

Mijn naam is Pricilla Motman, geboren in Suriname.
