Hello I have a true emergency and I've never put myself out there like this before but this is larger than me, and I simply dont have another option!

Im in a unique situation where I was not aware that my debit card had not been charged at my storage unit for the month of October, as I spent 28 days of that month without a cell phone! It had broken for the final time during the first week and because I live just on my one disability check, I could not replace it until 11/3. Because of that I did not get the calls that my new debit card had been added to my account (as I called and updated a few days before and assumed they kept my auto-pay on)-my fault.. but apparently they can send my entire unit to auction on the 28th day!!

When I tried to call & pay it, they advised that I only have until Wednesday morning 11/26 to pay a total of $524 before the highest bidder comes in to pay and lay claim to my belongings!

I know it doesn't look like much but these are all of my family's Christmas Heirlooms, the contents of my studio/art room that I loved so much, photo albums that can't be replaced and other 33 years of my kids sentimental items along with what furniture I have left from divorce. I simply cannot lose these things!

I do get paid again just 4 days after this 11/26 deadline, and I do have my family home that myself, my mother and my youngest son Damian & soon to be my 27yr old daughter Veda all live in, but we have collectively put every dime we could into this issue and we are not really prepared at all for Thanksgiving or the Holidays.
At this point this emergency help would help us to rescue not only my stuff but my families heirlooms & memories, as well as pay for the uhaul and help to get everything moved into my home.

Between the 3 of us currently we do not yet have a vehicle and most of my income goes to groceries & bus/lyft & Uber transportation as I've been job hunting and hoping to proceed with my "Ticket To Work" program to try being off of disability and back into the work force.

My current need is this $524 for my storage items, approx $150/$200 for uhaul rental for 2 days and gas. And anything extra will go toward our thanksgiving meal & getting financially situated for The holiday and securing a vehicle that I was in process of purchasing that will help my entire family thru the winter season and beyond.

Im not good at all asking for help and those of you that know me knew me as a brutal force of "get things done" which i fear i have lost that vibe and energy over these past few years of illness and just figuring out where I belong!

After my divorce, I've had a hard time re-inventing myself and finding my place in the world for the first time ever! This particular past few years have been uniquely hard for me as I've recovered from a stroke, managed my already debilitating Kidney Disease, and C-PTSD, but without my husband and without any of the 3 children & 4 step kids that I've been raising for the past 33years!

I became empty nested, divorced, very ill, and unemployed to Covid originally, and I've had to re-learn everything! The last time I was totally on my own I was 13 years old! So in my 50 years I am just now learning how to take care of just me. And it's hard and weird and I miss having a house full of kids and busy weekends!

I do have some muscle help to move these items I believe but I am beside myself with fear, panic and anxiety right now.

Any contribution at all is very much appreciated and will be paid forward! I probably should have asked a long time ago i just haven't had the confidence.

Thank you everyone!
Im much better at helping others than asking for help! Let this be a lesson to me and to others like me!
