In October of 2017, the daughter of one of our friends was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. We are fundraising to raise money for much needed research into finding a cure and to increase the awareness for this disorder the effect it has on the 200 girls diagnosed in Australia and thousands of families around the world.

Rett syndrome is a rare neurological and developmental disorder that affects the way the brain develops, causing a progressive loss of motor skills and speech. Most babies with Rett syndrome seem to develop normally for the first 6 to 18 months of age, and then lose skills they previously had, such as the ability to crawl, walk, communicate or use their hands. This disorder primarily affects girls.
