Hi, my name is Danielle and my family is in need of some help. My dad was diagnosed with high stage three Glioma (brain cancer) in early December.

December 6th he went in for a scan to make sure everything was okay and not 2 hours later he was told to go into the emergency room asap because of a massive tumor on his brain. That began the start of many trips to and from the hospital. Mid December started his 25 day stay in a Madison hospital. During that long stay was 3 incredibly hard brain surgeries. From the hospital he went to a rehabilitation center for nearly 2 weeks. He is finally home again and beginning his new life learning to walk, see and remember things again.

During this trying time my mom has been by his side every single minute. She’s had to stay in three different hotels while in Madison, each becoming less expensive and in more sketchy areas due to the cost. Nothing has stopped her from being the best caregiver my dad could ask for. (He’ll tell you that too!)

The reason I am asking for help is to take some stress off my mom. Dad was the sole income for them both. My dad will not return to work as he was given a measly 12-18 month life expectancy. (We’re hoping for more of course!) I just want them both to not have to worry about the massive hospital bills they are going to receive, and just enjoy their remaining days together.
