Candace Hall stage 4 colon cancer
Donation protected
My 26 year old daughter has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and its been tough for her not being able to work full time .
Hi everyone this is Candace .I wanted to come on to post something you all would see. I just want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you. For all of you that have kept my family and I in your thoughts and prayers, to all of you who check up on us weekly and even daily, to all of you who were involved in my UNDY Run last year and now to all of you who are so generous enough to donate to the go fund me page my dad has created. It is hard to believe I have been fighting this fight for almost exactly one year. It brings tears to my eyes to still think about the day our lives completely changed...but I have come so far from last year, and I wouldn't have been able to do so without all of your help and all of your prayers. For those of you that don't know, I was doing great, I had no active cancer cells in my body and had a 3 month break from all treatment. After the 3 months I had a scan to monitor things and we found out that the lesion on my liver was active again. So I have restarted chemotherapy, and now I also receive platelet transfusions due to my own platelets being very very low from all of the chemo I have already went through over the past year. This week will be my third chemotherapy and the Dr.'s would like me to have at least 4 or 5 rounds before we do another scan. I am doing my best to keep my head up and fight on! So again THANK YOU, I will never be able to express how truly grateful I am that all of you have been behind me throughout this. There hasn't been one time that I have not felt loved or have not felt the positivity. There is sometimes sadness in our journeys but also lots of beauty...I have learned this from fighting this battle. Cancer has truly made me a stronger and a better person and I WILL NOT GIVE UP!
