Anderson Family Disaster Relief

Meet The Anderson's,  Samiyah 17, Khaliek and Khallen, 12 Nicholas and Noah 10!  The Anderson's live in Pelion, SC in a modest mobile home along with their Mom Teresa who works part-time caring for the elderly.  One of the boys is Autistic and one has a slight learning disability but Teresa is a great Mom and never misses a school Parent Teacher meeting or event and the Children are doing great in school.  All was going well until October 3, 2015 when South Carolina had rain and floods throughout the state.  In Pelion over 13 Inches of rain fall in one weekend.  The mobile home in which the Anderson's live could not withstand the rain and the roof gave way over the boys bedrooms flooding the home, causing extensive damage.  There were also leaks throughout the remainder of the house.  The drywall in the house was damaged as was all the flooring.  By Monday the drywall had already started to mold.  The good people from Florence Baptist Church in Pelion and people from the school jumped to the rescue to try to repair the damage, take down the drywall and at least make it dry but there is so much damage to the home it is beyond repair.  Of course this being an older home and Ms. Anderson on a fixed income with 5 children there was no insurance but at least the home was paid for.   We are trying to replace the home for this beautiful family and give them a warm, safe, comfortable place to live.  Will you help us help them?   The family is currently staying in a motel until we can purchase a mobile home to replace the one that was damaged by the rain.   Any amount that you can contribute will help!
