Single mom and NH Army National Guard member struggles to pay for new heating system for home. Her and her 6 yr old daughter Zoey have been out of their home since July 4th of 2018. What started out as a small leak in a pipe turned out to be so much more. The leak damaged bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom walls. To fix the damage it needed to be opened up to be dried out and treated. To do this the house was emptied so they could start the work all of their belongings put into a POD and they couldn't stay in the house. Floorboards were lifted and sinks, tub, stove and other equipment all removed. They waited 3 months for the insurance to pay their portion to get the treatment started. Kelly & Zoey have been displaced from their home while the work is being done and a seperate place was found for their two kitties. In October the work finally started and new fixtures and equipment are going in when the contractor called with more bad news.... the furnace in the house was old and stopped working. The weather is getting colder outside and they won't be able to move back until furnace is fixed, as the contractors can not finish the job without a new heating system. Of course the system she had was so old that it doesn't just need to be replaced they need a whole new heating system. The quotes have come in for $14,000 - $26,000 Any help is greatly appreciated and as quickly as possible to get them and their kitties back home.
